Ballston Spa, NY, May 26, 2023 — The TCT Federal Credit Union (TCT) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2023 TCT Academic Scholarships. Ten $1,000 scholarships were awarded to 10 bright, hardworking young credit union members. The recipients were among the top scorers of almost 750 applications submitted by credit unions across the state.
Each year, TCT awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are TCT members, have displayed outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements and demonstrated an awareness of the “People Helping People” credit union philosophy. Students are scored by representatives of the New York Credit Union Association, located in Albany, NY. based on their academic performance, extracurricular activities, honors, community service, leadership, and writing.
The 2023 TCT Federal Credit Union Scholarships were awarded to; Teagan Wright, Greenwich Central School, Keegan Collins, Greenwich Central School, Alayna Wian, Schuylerville Central School, Emma Townsend, Cambridge Central School, Kobe McManus, Cambridge Central School, Samantha Peters, Hudson Falls Central School, Kendra Jones, Queensbury High School, Caroline Campbell, Lake George School, Kara Bacon, Warrensburg School and Ryan Healy, Glens Falls High School (not pictured).
“We are glad to contribute to the financial education of these outstanding members,” said TCT Federal Credit Union CEO, Curt Cecala. “We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.”
Applications for 2024 TCT Scholarships will become available this fall at the credit union’s website tctfcu.org and at any of TCT’s four branches located in Ballston Spa, Cambridge, Clifton Park, and Queensbury.
